Hey Rafliz you must increase your hantus in the car lah.
First i want to contgratulate the committee for outdoing itself, you guys deserve every bit of applause given, its far more than what I expected. I saw Roslan, Bismi and Yazid practically walking like ZOMBIES. They were so tired and you see it in their faces. Well done guys.
Osman THE ED you ve done it this time , youve set standards for future GTS which is a tough one to follow. We Arocs now would not expect anything less than the standards set in this GT.
It was the most gruelling, toughest, challenging and the most fun everyone had. The Hotel was fantastic, unlike the 2003 GT where one participants was busy chasing cockoroaches than sleeping after a long day.
I never knew how tough the Super was untill this GT so next yr again Im going to use the super again.
Met some very nice new people namely MR.LIonel who took away my defending title for Special Stage Master. Now New Title given --MR.Langsat.
New Name for Desmond -- Mr.Side Sweeper .
New Name for Doc Wong-- The Professor - now he times himself and controls the distance and time to reach each stage- more like Alain Prost.
Hats off to all of you Committee. |

Wow it was a great GT Event. Although its my first time and i have no other GT's to compare to . but i feel this was a great , challenging and crazy event .
My hats off for the good job well done by the marshall co-ordinating the event. Although there were some mistakes here and there. But those mistakes made the event even more CHALLENGING , !!!
I still remeber the stage from Taiping to kellie' castle . The tulip is written in Miles Reading !!!! and everyone is confused and yet all managed to reach the destination safely.
We did not expect to win this year especially it was my first time and i had lost alot of points even during the scutineering.
Wow , i even have a new nick name now Mr Side Sweeper . hhhahah thanks to Mr Ron Nathan.
Thanks for the Great EVENT !!!!
looking forward for the next one. |

Aneh, you funny man lah....
Took away your title & you say we're bunch of nice people.
How to find someone with such a big heart???
Only in Malaysia......
Anyway, enjoyed me self thoroughly even though pump into couple of them pot holes.
All thanks to Ron & Nathan ….not!
Ron Lim helped pump-up 10bhp and Aneh another 20 after pushing me rear end…kakaka
The event was much appreciated by all 40 odd participants as witnessed during the lunch prize presentation ceremony.
In all, good event, great Marshals in doing an extraordinary job in keeping us happy, nice places, and a passionate bunch of Alfa Owners!

Am glad to hear some interesting stories of the GT. unfortunately, Ihave to tiemyself to a construction site. Now that GT is over, go and checkif you have any summons. The special offer of 1/2 price to settle summons is still on until 22/9/05. counters at jln. Tun HS Lee police station have extended working hours until 6pm Mon- fri.
$300 to 150
150 to 70
120 to 60
100 to 50
all summons including speeding can be reduced, except dashing the red lights.I just settle 7 outstanding summons accumulated during the last 6 months in time for the road tax renewal.

Yalor, it was so much more fun with you young guys around. Get tired of seeing the same faces evry year...more wrinkle and less hair each time around
Am really galad you all enjoyed it. Hope you can spread the word around that AROC is not an oldies club but one for ALL ALFISTIS who love driving and that the GT is one they must experience at least once. Winning every year kinda boring la...need more challenge
Congrats to Desmond for P2 placing. If not for the accident on the final day, he would have been P1.
Cheers |

Yeah Doc,
we will definately bring in more young kaki's from our side. We hope to bring in more young spirits to join this great event. And hope they enjoyed it as much as i did.
Joining the event is like owning an Alfa car . " You wont know the fun factor in it until u have one "
Iam quite happy with my results of getting P2 Admist being a newcomer for this event. I had punctured tyre on stage 3 and accident on final stage and yet still manage to be on P2 . Its quite a suprise for me though.
Thanks to Melvin for lending me his foot pump to temporarily pump air to my punctured tyres . |

Hey, no prob, bro. Congrats to you for getting P2. Glad you liked the GT.
Don't just bring them in for the GT only, there are also many other great events lined up.
Hehe, was having so much fun that I didn't even realise that I finished up my 2 front tyres. Only found out when I was home. There was about 20% tread left before the GT, so that's 20% gone in 3 days _________________

My most memorable moment..nailing the slalom and being announced as the P1 winner again. The roads at the sugar cane fields. The children waving us by.
My hairiest moment...seeing Ron Nathan's legs under the breakfast table .
Gary's GTA overtaking 3 cars in a row( me being the 3rd car) and cutting in at a blind corner
The funniest moment...seeing the HHK gang on the opposite side of the road, gesticulating and frantically pointing to the tulips. When i went past, they saw me and all of them scrambled running to get into their cars.
........ Watching Amir's car overtaking me and only seeing the navigator, driver being obscured from view...look ma, no driver
......going around in circles at night trying to rech Kellie's Castle and watching a whole convoy doing the same up and down the highway.
......
Please share yours.. |

My GT2005 actually got screwed as early as 100 metres after flag off. Drove the gtv6 over the big pothole at the first T-left after the SDAI Glenmarie guardhouse, at the Pirelli warehouse junction. What a bummer!
Cracked the exhaust manifold, causing exhaust leak.. Luckily oil pan was not cracked.
Considering whether to just give up and drive straight home. But after all the prep and anticipation, and since this was Angela's first GT, we decided to go on as far as the car could go.
We preserved the car as best as possible during the transport stages, going all out only during the SS, but at last, we had to give up. The engine temp started to shoot up and not come down after Juru, and we had to withdraw when we arrived at Changkat Jering.
The left manifold was cracked, 1 mm at the widest point. Canon's has taken it to be welded, wrapped with new exhaust heat wrap. Fitting them back to the head is a bitch, it's been going on for 2 days.
The story of my GT2005.
Despite my misfortune, we really enjoyed the company of all the participants, both the seasoned campaigners and the rookies. Of course, what excellant planning and organisation by Othman, Yazid, Bismi and gang.. Congratulations to all of you. Congratulations to the winners too, especially Doc Wong for retaining P1.
Looking forward to GT2006. |
